Official video for the track Midsommer

We are proud to be able to announce our first EVER official music video! The video is for the track Midsommer from our latest album, Vældet. Filming took place at Jels Vikingeby in Jutland, Denmark on the weekend of 27th and 28th of June (just after the actual date of Midsummer Eve, the 23rd of June), and was filmed and edited by the talented young Danish video producer, Christian Søes. In keeping with the lyrics for the track, the video portrays the older Danish Midsummer Eve tradition of building a fire to ward off evil spirits on the shortest night of the year.

Extras for the filming include our original whistler Stewart Lewis, wives, children, girlfriends, parents and friends of the band as well as actors from Jels Vikingespil. We would like to thank all of the involved, including a special thanks to Janus Lynggaard and all at Jels Vikingespil and Jels Vikingeby for letting us use their resources, Thor’s mum (Marielle Hansen) for all of her help, and the Nisted Atkin family (we shot the video on James’ wife’s birthday).
