First UK show ever announced

We’re pleased to be able to announce that we will be appearing in the UK for the first time ever. The show will take place on Saturday February 22nd at Fibbers in York. The show organisers have released the following statement:

“Join us once more for another night of Viking and folk mayhem at Fibbers in York on Saturday 22^nd February 2014 courtesy of Asgard.

The 3^rd annual Jorvik Viking Festival fringe event brings with it another European band who have never headlined the UK before.

For this next show, we have managed to lure Danish folk metal titans Svartsot out of their homeland to not just headline, but to also play their first ever UK gig! This is a performance that is not to be missed.

Support comes in the form of Darlington’s Old Corpse Road. The band name and a lot of their lyrics draw heavily on British folklore. This, combined with their black metal leanings creates a unique and haunting sound.

Our opening band will be announced shortly.

Tickets, priced £10 will be on sale very soon from asgardonline.co.uk, the venue and the usual outlets.”
